First Week of Summer

Summer time is here! This has been the first official week of summer. Other than Evan's weekly speech with Ms. Sarah, we have a pretty open schedule. This has made for a lot of time in the pool and playing sonic on the boys new xbox 360. Derek let them play his once, and they wanted to be on it all the time, so we bought them a used one of their own. We are not vacationing this summer. Derek is just planning on taking a week off and we will go to ocean breeze and the beach and of course spend a lot of time in our own pool. Carter and Evan are swimming really well without floaties. Evan is not very good at doggy paddling, but swims like a fish underwater. Carter is getting really good at swimming both ways. Sully is jumping in this year and has no fear of going underwater. We are still trying to stay on top of reading and writing for summer for Evan. Kindergarten was such a big year for him. In fact, when Mrs. Harbaugh and Mrs. Gregory started talking about going to first grade, Evan lost it in class. Mrs. Harbaugh said he was crying so much he couldn't talk. He doesn't want to leave his teachers and friends, and is nervous about 1st grade. We have had lots of talks about getting to do PE and eat lunch at school and the fact that some of his old friends will be in his class.

It has been big excitement over here the last week. Carter started Kindergarten and Evan started preschool and Speech at the Elementary School. They are both doing very well and are enjoying school. Carter goes to school in the morning and Evan goes to preK 3 afternoons a week. He also has speech in the morning 3 times a week. Carter's teachers are Mrs. Harbaugh and Mrs. Andes. Evan has Mrs. Langhorne for Prek and Mrs. Southard for speech. All there teachers are very sweet. It makes for busy days and the boys are zonked out at 8pm every night. I am so proud of them and their new adventures!

Something so Crazy about 5!!

Carter,
You just turned 5. We are so proud of you. You are an easy going child. You are super helpful and smart. You make mama laugh all the time. You love school and playing superhero's with your friends T.J. and Christopher. You love macaroni and cheese, pasta with butter and garlic salt, apples, popcorn and cheesy crackers (aka-cheese its). You like to play outside and ride your scooter. You like to play on the computer and are really great at it. You are still a little night owl. You do great dressing yourself and putting your shoes and coat on. You are writing words very well, and are beginning to read. Your teacher, Ms. MaryAnn says you always listen and are perfectly behaved at school. You are fast runner and can hang on the monkey bars for a long time. I love you so much, more than you will ever know. I am so proud of you and the little man you are.
Love,
Mommy

Country boys!

We have moved to the country and the boys are in love. I don't think we'll ever be able to return to the city. These boys are out the door once their feet hit the floor and fight coming in as the sun goes down.

They have a pool and swim like little fish. Evan jumps in, no fear-goes right under. Carter is more cautious. He doesn't like his face to go under, but he is a fast little swimmer.

Sully is loving it too. He's pretty much naked all the time.

Littlest punkin' turns one!

Yesterday, my lovey baby turned one. I cannot believe it was one year ago he came into this world. Tommorow we are having his party. Sully has 8 teeth and is walking around holding on to stuff, but not free walking yet. He's a superfast crawler, though. He says mama, dada, baby and spongebob. He waves bye bye. He loves his brothers and wants to be big like them! He is still nuring, and if I try to avoid it, he throws himself back on the bed and yells at me. He is a mama's boy for sure. I am so blessed. What a gift he is.

funny boys

Carter tells me often "I wish all my dreams will come true". Evan poking my mom's beauty mark and comparing it with his boo boo to see if it looks the same. Baby Sully getting in your face and squealing. Evan dancing to reggae music.
